WIND RANGE AND RIDER LEVEL
The light bar feeling and smooth but reactive handling are tuned for intermediate riding levels and beyond, particularly in light to medium strength winds.

Pack the Alpha V3 Ultra-X 9m for a kite trip, for example, and you’d have a huge range of available conditions open to you with a twin-tip and a surfboard.
At its bottom end you could be ripping waves in light winds on a really agile kite that still provides plenty of power to get back upwind. At the kite’s mid- to top-end, you can stay out for hours on big, grin-inducing freeride sessions on a twin-tip.

WAVE AND KITEFOIL DREAM

ON A TWIN TIP
The responsive steering with positive bar feedback produces an engaging combination of lift and hangtime. Delivering power without big pulses of grunt, the Alpha V3 Ultra-X is a fast riding freeride kite that doesn’t feel like it’s creating a lot of pull on the front lines, and will help intermediates gain the confidence when learning to steer a kite harder and faster.
Whether you’re looking to expand your repertoire of transitions, dark-slides, rotations, one-footers or through countless, soft kite loops and downloops, the Alpha Ultra-X offers a very balanced pull that feels predictable, smooth and makes progression easy.
CONTINUOUS CURVE LEADING EDGE
Our continuous Curve Leading Edge construction technique means that each segment is curved to form a perfectly smooth arc from tip-to-tip, instead of having straight segments of material joined together with angled joints to form a curve.
TRANSVERSE SAIL SHAPING
Transversal Sail Shaping on the canopy running alongside the leading edge perfectly matches the Continuous Curve. As featured on our latest products, these design features reduce parasitic drag and create a cleaner surface at the most important area of the airfoil.
The result is less turbulent airflow, which positively affects the lift-to-drag-ratio, increasing overall performance.
VARIABLE BRIDLE GEOMETRY
Quick and easy to change with no extra lines to add or remove.
These bridle settings extend the kite’s operating range, bringing another level of versatility to this outstanding design.
FREESTYLE/ONSHORE
The kite sits a little further back in the wind window, with increased bar pressure and feedback. If you prefer a slightly heavier bar feeling this could be the setting for you. It is also favourable for onshore wave riding conditions. The Freestyle/Onshore setting is the lower knot on the VBG Pigtails.
FREERIDE
The ideal balance in performance and feeling for all-round free riding, foiling and wave riding in most conditions. The Freeride setting is the upper knot on the VBG Pigtails (factory setting).
BORN LIGHT, GENETICALLY STRONG
As always, through being able to control every step of the production process and quality control in our own factory, the Alpha V3 Ultra-X is Born Light, but is Genetically Strong – with each and every stitch perfectly placed to provide strength in the structure.
DO YOU OFTEN RIDE IN STRONG WINDS?
The Alpha V3 Ultra-X isn’t just about light winds. The smaller sizes are great fun if you’re faced with stronger conditions too, offering fast steering, huge depower and easy drift.
If, however, you do like to ride at the upper end of a kite’s performance range regularly, then we’d suggest looking instead at any of our freeride kites that have more struts to support the canopy in stronger wind conditions.
OTHER OPTIONS:
